They have a stamp with the logo on the cake
No. The cheesecakes taste very different from uncle tetsu's.
Changed to H cafe
Friendly service, ordered the Sakura "Mochi", I love mochi in general, but I can't call it a mochi, sorry... Expected more...
good and fresh always. staff are great here
I've had the matcha cheesecake and the pink one with the flower which I enjoyed very much. For some reason I haven't tried the original cheesecake lol. Also their matcha ice cream is yummy cus it's not too creamy and you can taste the matcha in it.
Cheesecake and ice cream are good. They offer more variety than Uncle Tetzu store in downtown. Not cheap but worth to try or eat occasionally.
The fruits are not sweet at all.And they were not prepared, so we should taste frozen one
It's really cute and the food is delicous BUT THIS PLACE IS HELLA EXPENSIVE! They recently made their cakes smaller and increased the price to 11$ This is something to get on specifically special occasions not a good place to constantly go.
I actually love their dishes and customer service, excellent location close to my apartment. The cashiers are always nice. Will come back again.
Great dessert. Light and not heavy
I attended the DIY cake studio at HCafe and had a fun afternoon decorating the birthday cake and cupcakes with my girlfriends for her birthday. We all went home with our own decorated cupcakes to share with loved ones. This would be a great date activity to do with your family, your spouse or girlfriends. I highly recommend the DIY cake studio.
The cheesecake was amazing! The staff was very nice and the place was located in a small little quiet "village". Smelled good when walking into the store.
I went to try the mochi with a friend. It was a small portion, lacking flavour and over priced. Not worth it.
You could feel the cheesecake melting inside your mouth....worth the time to line up. However, the one in Downtown definitely make better cheesecake.
Got a Sakura Mochi and Yuzu nonbake cheesecake. They tasted pretty good, but the service here was terrible. The person taking our order was rude and obviously did not want to be there.
Best cheesecakes in town! Customer service can be improved!
Severely overpriced... One daifuki is $4.50.. the tea is $5 and the strawberry mochi cake had slightly bad/ rotten strawberries. The daifuki was good but I would not come back
Delicious coconut ice cream)))
Very nice selection of teas, ice cream, sweets, Japanese cheesecake in flavors such as Matcha, Original, Red bean, Taro. There two sizes for the cheese cakes. A no bake cheesecake available as well. There is a really nice patio/garden with tables and chairs. Nice to relax there with your selection of tea and sweet treat. Service was good, server friendly.
Good quality for the price.
Delicious!! This place used to be Uncle Tetsu’s cske shop, I felt like everything is same but the name is different now. Cake is always fresh, fluffy and delicious. I can eat the whole thing myself. Definitely every one should give it a try!
Such a cute little shop with a little seating area inside and outside. Aesthetically pleasing and very delicious. Customer service is good, very polite servers. First time here and we had a great experience
we visit here everytime at main street for cheesecake, muffins or ice cream. also like getting the cheesecakes if going to a party. it is a good gift. price is good too. I'm sure in summer time they'll be more people as they have a outside seating. also a DIY cake class or studio.
Not fresh made, very disappointed with quality. My wife and I bought "Fruit Mochi" with strawberry & Mango flavors, the rice dough were hard and fruits was very watery inside. We spoke to head pastry chef, his excuse is because the "New" rookie chef is inexperience....and we are paying for the price. This store is disgrace to Japanese bakery.
Got my cheesecake fresh the second I got there. Pretty damn good cheesecake for ten dollars.
Delicious Japanese cakes with reasonable prices. They are creamy, but not heavy. Although it's called cafe, there is no inside seats for dine-in.
Cheese cake and ginger ice cream, great combination.
The generic cheesecake taste of fluffy and light ressembles its downtown counterpart. The price is okay and the quality is certainly there.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. Never disappointed,
Tiny space for ordering and long waiting(depends on your luck). That's why you always see line ups outside the building. But the cheese cake is the best I have ever tasted. Freshly baked.
The price was over priced, taste was nosurprisingly awful and THE SERVICE WAS THE WORST!!! NEVER EVER WILL GO AGAIN. wasting my time and money.
I was excited to try the fruit mochi since they look so pretty on Instagram. In reality they are the WORSE overpriced ($4 a piece) mochi I have ever tasted. Frozen mochi is a hundred times better. The texture was hard and dry with a heavily powdered exterior. Inside it was liquid and powdery at the same time. I don't even know how it is possible they made the texture so terrible. The only edible part was the fruit and even that was meh. Sasaki Pastry sells their mochi at half the price, they are fresh, fluffy and amazing. It is insulting that this is sold, I wouldn't want it if I was paid to eat it. 😡
I've recently discovered this cheesecake and I cannot get enough. From one cheesecake yields about 8 slices. The cheesecake is sooo fluffy.. Although, if you do not like the taste of egg and/or milk, you better steer clear of it and have a regular cheesecake. Very delicious.
Absolutely beautiful. Great service and located in picturesque Unionville!
Excellent varietyGreat tasteWill definitely come again
The cheesecake I got today was absolutely fresh, extremely delicious that I ate 3 quarters of it with no regret. Best one I had!! Also the people working there are super nice!!
Hcafe located in the heart of Main Street Unionville, it is a very little store and share the entrance with some other businesses. It offers more varieties than Uncle Tetsu. I had the matcha red bean cheesecake. When I open the box, the look is quite disappointed. It got crack and a little bit broken apart. However the taste comes to a bit of surprise. The cheesecake is very soft and fill with all matcha flavor. Red bean is pretty much at the bottom of the cake. I would like to have a little bit more red bean. Overall, a decent substitution for Uncle Tetsu.
Came here today and realized that the Hcafe is no longer the uncle tetsu. The cafe itself doesn't look as nice or decorative as Tetsu. However the cafe kept a lot of the same signs and menu items. I got the strawberry mochi cake and really liked it. Downside is that it was quite small and was $15, but it was delicious. I've also had their other daifuku mochi desserts and really enjoyed them. Is definitely a treat and I would go back.
I tried this new (kinako) tiramisu and strawberry mochi cake just 2 days ago. Very disappointed about the quality of the so called tiramisu. It's kinda warm and to me it's just a cup of very runny cream with a very thin layer of kinako. The only good thing about it is that's is not too sweet. But this is misleading as ppl would think Japanese tiramisu is in such a bad quality. Plus they charge for $8.99 for this small cup portion.... I think even $4.5 is overpriced. Strawberry mochi cake is not bad. It's interesting.... But will i buy it again? I don't think so. Btw, only after I opened the box of the mochi cake then there's a small note inside the box saying that it's better to finish it in one day.
Fresh and delicious cheesecake! I rather prefer to order to go because the place is always cramped
The downtown location is a lot betterGot 4 matcha redbean Madeleines + original cheesecakeMadeleines: in a box that clearly did not fit them,Barely any redbeanCheesecake: normally my fav but to begin with did not look really appetizing as the top layer looked crackedThe cake was also way too moist I tried to rip a piece off and it just had no structure too it You cant even say it's because it was fluffy because it's not like this in downtown and it's not supposed to just break apart when you try to rip it
This strawberry mochi cake was really delicious. Light fluffy and the perfect amount of sweetness. The mochi layer was nice and soft with great texture. The mouse was light and with fresh strawberry flavour. You gotta try it!
First... i love uncle tetsu dt. I line up for it. So hearing of the uptown location u was excited to stand in linr for it. This location has way more flavours though only a few I found worth trying. I went on monday afternoon of the long wknd. I bought the original cheesecake, cupid hat, black sesame Madeleine, and the personal size yuzu cake and the Sakura cake. Loved the Sakura cake which is denser than the regular cheesecakes they have but aside from that the other flavours were only good and not great. They sold out of the blueberry yuzu Madeleine I wanted to try and the Devils hat (chocolate which is a new flavour). Would go again though for the Sakura!
Fast, efficient service and the original cheesecake tasted great!
Very nice staff. Their mini mochi are really good and you have to eat them right away when they are fresh. Only downside during winter-early spring they don’t have places to sit down at this location aside from a small area outside of the cafe.
Loved their meals. Tried burgers and egg bennedicts and it was surprisingly delicious. The should work on their curb appeal. The outside could use some paint.
Avoid this place if you don't want dishonest business and terrible customer service. I’ve recently placed an order from them through Ubereats and wasn’t pleased with the portion and the quality of the cheese tarts. Not only my comment was removed, I was blocked from their account shortly after I left a comment on their Instagram post.
Horrible mochi cake. The logo was barely visible and the mochi on top was harden. Tasted frozen and old. I would give zero star if the app allows me.
Best madelaine. Try the honey lemon.
Always consistent. Only thing is that just make sure you have cash. There’s no debit or credit. The original cheesecake is the best and I want to start trying the other ones as I return.
The black sesame Angel Hat was unbelievable! It was heavenly! So light it just melted in my mouth. I could eat the whole thing myself. Afterwards, ate the matcha cheesecake. Can't compare to the Angel Hat. $10 each..taxes included. Pricey for the size of it but ok to treat yourself once in awhile. They only accept cash or debit. Was there on a late Saturday afternoon and a very short lineup.
Cheesecake and ice cream are good. They offer more variety than Uncle Tetzu store in downtown. Well recommended place
